Social Robotics, Artificial Intelligence & Multimedia Winter School

February 19-23 2024 @ Grenoble, France

The Horizon 2020 project SPRING, funded by the European Commission, focuses on developing Socially Assistive Robots for multi-person interactions and open-domain dialogue in gerontological healthcare. The project, initiated in 2020, has made significant advancements in enabling robots to move, see, hear, and communicate in complex environments.

The SoRAIM Winter School, taking place from February 19-23, 2024, in Grenoble, France, serves as a platform to showcase the scientific, technological, and ethical progress achieved by the SPRING project. The school covers various areas, including social robotics, artificial intelligence, and multimedia. Top-level speakers will address topics like speech source localisation, robot navigation, human behaviour analysis, dialogue management, and ethical considerations.

The Winter School aims to facilitate discussions among experts, allowing students, young researchers, and engineers to engage with qualified scientists. Participants can present their research through posters, interact with project members, and contribute to broader discussions. While registration is free, attendees are responsible for their travel and accommodation costs. Some grants will be awarded based on merit, gender, and diversity criteria. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis, with merit assessment.
