AIxIA Spotlight Seminars

The Italian Association for Artificial Intelligence (AIxIA) is pleased to announce the Winter 2024 program of the Spotlight Seminars on AI. The aim of the seminars is to illustrate, explore and discuss current scientific challenges, trends, and possibilities in all branches of our articulated research field. The seminars will be held virtually by leading Italian and international researchers and scientists. The seminars are mainly aimed at a broad audience interested in AI research, and they are also included in the Italian PhD programme in Artificial Intelligence. The “Winter 2024” edition features 2 seminars:

  1. Planning and Acting to Learn [23 January at 17.00 CET]

Paolo Traverso, Director of Strategic Marketing and Business Development at Fondazione Bruno Kessler, will discuss how AI agents can autonomously learn and adapt in dynamic environments. The seminar will explore the process of collecting training data, evaluating model predictions, and formalising learning tasks in a symbolic planning framework.

  1. Recent Advancements in Equilibrium Computation for Adversarial Team Games [19 February at 17.00 CET]

Professor Nicola Gatti, from the Polytechnic University of Milan, will delve into the state-of-the-art techniques developed in the last 5 years for adversarial team games. The talk will highlight progress and paradigms studied, with a focus on dimensions like communication and computation.
